Ready for school!
Field day was always such a favorite day of mine at school...it's been fun to watch the kids participating here!
Let the games begin!
Lots of parading around town...visors = not optional.
Parading with all sorts of interesting signs...these signs aren't quite as eloquent as my all-time favorite from last year - a child carried a poster that said "IF I PLAY SPORTS I CANNOT START DOING DRUGS." Powerful stuff. But these are pretty similar ideas:
"No to drugs...yes to sports!"
Our sporty little line-leaders
Not sure what Winnie-the-Pooh had to do with field day, but he was getting a stern talking-to from dad. And was then forced to remove the bear head.
Cheerleaders
At field day here, all kids have to come with a parent, because the relay games are all played with a parent for a partner. This chump and I were quite the deam team.
Pep-talk before our wheelbarrow race. I mean, I got paired with the kid who always requests to play games that don't involve running. Something needed to be said.
The day was spent playing and listening to little speeches and cheers about healthy bodies. So what better way to end Field Day than by giving out cokes, hamburgers, and doughnuts?! WOOOOO!!
Baby Home relay teams
Fun day for sure!
