Familar Faces

I have been on cloud 9 this week being back with these babies! I was thinking today about how much they have all grown since I first showed up at Casa de Amor about a year ago. See what I mean?

The now almost-3-year-old pictured with me above looked like this last September!

I have missed this cheesy grin!
Now 3 years old

last September

At 4 1/2 years old, she is now the oldest at the Baby House! (Notice the camera-hog in the background.)

last sept

And her little sister, now 3

This chunk still has an attitude!

One of our 2 1/2 year old twins...they actually have been assigned Bolivian parents and will hopefully be adopted very soon!

This big guy's about to turn 2...AND about to be adopted by one of the tias (staff,) at the Baby Home! This has been a LONG process, so we are praying for this adoption to proceed quickly, as he's ready to be with Mom all the time - not just on her work days!
He's grown a lot, huh? Last year I got here on his 1st birthday!

And we can't leave out the happiest baby in the world! This little girl is just precious - she was the first "new arrival" to Casa de Amor that I got to know - she arrived at 5 days old and is about to have her 1st birthday!
:)
I must say...as happy as she is, the only time we hear her get mad is when we make her try to move...as in learning to crawl, or heaven forbid...WALK! She might be the laziest baby in the world, too! But we're putting her to work and I think she'll  be moving around before too long!

Last but not least....I hardly recognize the triplets!! They have doubled in size since I left and have turned into chubby, LOUD, smiley girls!
Remember when we used to share one crib?
Not anymore! We've got 3 cribs in their room now - these three grow fast!

Nicole - still the most mellow of the group, which we're all thankful for!

Alison - the once-smallest of the trips has now become the heaviest! (And check it out...a little bit of a lazy eye...just like her namesake! HA)

Nataly!
...who used to look like this when feeding!

I don't know if I've ever put up a picture of the triplets' sweet mom, Felica. Felica is a young first-time mom, (who didn't know that she was pregnant with more than one baby until she delivered,) who has been working with us at the Baby Home since the triplets were probably about 2 months old. She now works every day with her 3 babies, she has learned a LOT, and she is so fun to watch with her 3! She is also just a lot of fun, and I love getting to hang out with her at House 1.

So as you can see from the buddha belly, everyone appears to be growing and thriving happily here!
