Even though I've always made fun of blogs, Mama Sielbeck is convinced that this is an absolute necessity for me over the coming year. From September - late June I am going to be living in Cochabamba, Bolivia. I have the opportunity to put my nursing skills to use at Casa de Amor - a series of 3 different childrens' homes. Their website is here if you want to check it out: http://www.casadeamor.org/index.html
I've been VERY excited about this for a long time, and this week, as this adventure has become much more of a reality, I've started to get nervous, too. I am so blessed by the community that I'm surrounded with in my hometown, Nashville, and by friends and family all over the good ol' US of A. Thank y'all for being so supportive of me as I've prepared for this - I need it! I hate goodbyes, and I'm really going to miss y'all, but I'm really grateful for the chance to head a little further down south.
